How does it work?

The track you are racing on has a MYLAPS system installed at the start and finish line and at intermediate points along the track. The system picks up the signal sent out by the transponder mounted on your kart. This signal is analyzed and lap times are measured. The system knows exactly on which lap you are and what your position is. This data is passed on to race officials and published to your personal MYLAPS account on mylaps.com.

Your personal data

Your training and event results are uploaded by the track’s system or race officials. You can check, analyze and share your performance data on your personal account online. Go to mylaps.com to create a personal account and register your transponder.

Speedhive app

The Speedhive app gives you quick access to official event results. Access your rankings and lap times via the Speedhive platform. Free of charge, available for iOS and Android. See and analyze your race results on the spot.

Easy to set up and maintain.
Your TR2 transponder is easily installed by using the holder and clip. This should be done at a maximum height of 60 cm (2 ft) above the ground. It is water resistant and shockproof and suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. TR2 transponders are rechargeable only: a full charge takes approximately 5 hours. A fully charged transponder will easily get you through a race weekend: it will keep working for a minimum of 5 days. Your transponder can get a bit dirty over time. Simply clean it with a damp cloth and lukewarm water and clean the connector pins with a cotton tip.

Warranty and Insurance
Your subscription comes with warranty and insurance. It covers damage as a result of accident or fire but not theft or loss. This means MYLAPS guarantees that the device keeps working and is in good order. We provide an unlimited warranty as long as you have an active subscription, under some conditions. Should any problems occur during normal use as described in the manual MYLAPS will repair or replace your transponder free of charge. See our terms and conditions for further information.
